Optimising corporate spaces has become one of the most important objectives for companies today.

The technology we have at our disposal nowadays, such as Foot Analytics' iKnos Corporate solution, allows us to carry out this process with maximum efficiency and, moreover, with the advantage of being able to obtain data in real time.

Occupancy tracking technologies: a key element in managing modern spaces

Occupancy tracking is an essential methodology for optimising the management of spaces. It could not be done without the technological solutions available today.

At Foot Analytics we even offer additional advantages with our system, as it is a SaaS solution without the installation of sensors.

To implement it, we only need to connect to the WIFI infrastructure deployed in the workspace. It is done without CAPEX and with an immediate start-up, so that you can immediately obtain data in real time.

Take advantage of our Dashboard Web to identify potential areas for improvement and make the necessary space optimisation adjustments.

This technology gives us the opportunity to improve offices with efficient, sustainable and secure solutions.

Optimising the use of space through real time monitoring

iKnos Corporate enables highly effective space utilisation optimisation. We rely on our insight Scaling Factor (SF) to define the optimal space size to ensure the best possible employee experience.

Real-time data allows our machine learning platform to record the usage patterns of each occupant and generate simulations of optimised scenarios:

  1. First, the expected density is established, i.e. the surface area in square metres per person that ensures an optimal user experience.
  2. We then measure the average and maximum occupancy of each zone.
  3. We proceed to anonymously analyse user behaviour, e.g. when they enter, when they leave, how long they spend in each zone, etc.
  4. With this recorded information, we simulate future occupancy in multiple scenarios, based on the observed user behaviour pattern.

Real-time data: Key to spatial planning and resource management

Managing spaces with real-time data provides endless opportunities for better spatial planning and for managing available resources in the best possible way.

Here are some examples of activities enabled by the Foot Analytics platform, following the collection and analysis of user behaviour patterns:

  • Define the number of desks, the rooms that are needed and any other collaborative spaces with the appropriate dimensions.
  • Understand the patterns of each department or area and thus create work synergies that fit as well as possible.
  • Understand user behaviour and thus anticipate the demand for resources. Thanks to this management, it is possible to optimise services such as catering, room availability, operating hours, etc.
  • The comparison of standardised indicators such as density per square metre, use of space over time available, saturation time and other similar indicators enables decisions to be made on the basis of objective reality and improve the experience of employees.

Advantages of implementing real-time occupancy software in large buildings

Implementing real-time occupancy software offers key benefits for all kinds of companies and facilities, with a particular emphasis on large buildings.

These are some of the most significant advantages that it provides:

  • Energy savings and efficiency, as it allows optimisation of resources related to temperature, ventilation and lighting of each of the spaces in the building.
  • A more comfortable working environment, which will always be well received by professionals and, in turn, will be reflected in their productive capacity.
  • It allows effective decision making, based on reliable data and in real time, with which reliable strategies are applied and which enable improvements to be made in all the proposed ratios.
  • Foot Analytics is applicable to large infrastructures, with the capacity to make an overall analysis of the entire building, but also to centralise the focus of attention on different floors or even, within each of them, on the rooms to be optimised.
  • Space management also contributes to sustainability, as it reduces the building's energy consumption and promotes a healthier environment in the facilities.
