    Minimum space regulations in offices: How software can be a strategic ally<\/b><\/h2>\n

    In Spain there is\u00a0 a regulation regarding minimum space in the workplace. This is the <\/span>Royal Decree 486\/1997 of 14 April<\/b>. The National Institute for Safety and Hygiene at Work (INSHT), which reports to the Ministry of Employment and Social Security, is responsible for ensuring that it is observed.<\/span><\/p>\n

    This regulation regarding minimum space requirements in the workplace states the following:<\/span><\/p>\n

    • The height available must be 3 metres<\/b> which may be reduced to 2.5 metres in commercial premises, offices and service areas.<\/span><\/li>\n

    • The volume of free space must be at least <\/span>10 cubic metres unoccupied per employee<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      These indications have prompted research into what is the ideal minimum space per employee and the conclusions are that each professional should have approximately 14 square metres of office space.\u00a0 In other words, for optimal work, it is best for <\/span>each employee to have between 3 and 4 square metres<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
